Education

Education takes many guises. I love teaching the new generation of professional medical herbalists at Betonica where I deliver the materia medica and herbal therapeutics modules. I also write and deliver training, for the professional and adult education classes for the Herbal Academy. 

In industry I am the Twinings International herbal expert and I work with their teams worldwide to develop new herbal blends. I have been part of the expert panel for The Food People meeting high street brands and advising on new markets and harnessing the power of plants in their products,  a member of the Potters Advisory Board and a consultant for Nexus PR.  This consultancy work led me to setting up an agency called Plant Potential to work directly with industry on product development.

I have long been a supporter of Salem International and made a documentary at their project in Uganda where I helped to fundraise and advised on the medicinal herb garden and I am also an adviser to Discover an NGO dedicated to training healthworkers in Africa to teach safe, natural medicine in rural communities.
