Boxing day is here and with it come the in-between days – where we’re never quite sure what day it is and appropriate eating goes out of the window.

I hope that you are deeply relaxing at this time. For those of us who are lucky enough to be able to take time off, this is time to let go of everyday routines and spend some time away from the drudge of the every day.

And yet, if like me, you have a full house to look after it is also important to make sure that you take time for yourself during these in-between days. So I’m here, giving you a gentle nudge to make sure that you are doing that, okay?

Have you had that winter walk, long bath, silent reading time, or long lie, that you were looking forward to? Or has it all been a helter-skelter mess of fun and cooking and doing the dishes?

Try to block out some time for yourself in the next few days – even if it is only half an hour, and even if you are working through the holidays. This is the natural time to replenish. It’s important. The new year will start ever so much better if you do!
