Herbalist | Writer | Educator
If you are looking for a dynamic new approach to health then you’ve come to the right place. I’m a medical herbalist, dedicated to empowering you to take back control of your health and wellbeing. To do this, I believe we need to look at the whole person and stop just trying to fix symptoms. Through herbal consultations, writing and teaching I try to reach as many people as I can to help them figure out what is going on with their wellbeing. Is poor diet a factor? Do you need medicine to help your situation? Is your lifestyle causing a problem? Are there old emotional blocks that are causing you pain? Whatever the answers it is my challenge to assist you in uncovering the root cause and working out how to change it.
Being a medical herbalist informs everything I do and that is to empower people to take responsibility for their own health and wellbeing. I try to be as open minded as possible to alternative ways to do this, but I also find that my Scottish roots have instilled a great big dollop of common sense in me. That and the medical training many people don’t realise that most herbalists have.
Someone once called me a ‘realist herbalist’ – I do not knit my own yoghurt, I eat chips sometimes and I am not against pharmaceutical medicine.
